Ngày đăng: 05/29/2019
With a little patience, add some love and a few great tutorials, transforming your fingernails (or toenails) into masterpieces can be easily done. Lets’ just say this could be an excuse to have a girls night in to pamper yourselves and your friendships.

Nail trends in 2018 have taken it up a notch. Styles moved from conservative to edgy but with practicality. Trends change according to the season, and to have the ability to stay ahead with what is hot and what is not, is certainly not always easy.  To make matters more difficult, creating them yourself is not easy too, but it can be done.

1st Nail Trend 2018: Classic Red

This iconic color is enough on its own. No matter the occasion, Classic Red is making a comeback from the 90’s shade that we used to see.

This color can be used to complement most outfits, regardless of the occasion and will turn heads. Red is synonymous with courage, fierceness, boldness and success.

Our favorite is a glossy classic red as nothing says sleep like shiny.

2nd Nail trend: how to create a Blocked Off nail design

Blocked off colors allow you to walk around with chipped nails… Stylishly. It has perfectly angled blocks of nail polish. The block only covers about a third of your finger nails.

Step by step: How to create Blocked off nail design

  • Apply a base coat and let it dry.
  • Then stick a piece of tape over the bottom of your nail bed. About two-thirds is the right size.
  • Paint with your favorite nail polish color!
  • Peel the tape off and apply a top coat.

Added tip: Metallics work perfectly well with this look and will have you rocking nail trends for 2018.

3rd Nail Trend: Matte Black

Somewhere deep down, matte is just the perfect combination to most outfits. Gone are the days when Matte black was associated with Goth, but any other Diva now welcomingly adorns this little number. A subtle look compared to the shiny black days, and it is a little more edgy. This is easily done with a few layers of a top coat that is mattifying. Paint this instead of your normal top coat, and you’ll notice the mattifying effect.

Matte Black makes our list of nail trends 2018 because it can be jazzed up in so many ways. Adding gold, silver or any other color adornments makes this color so special. This color can be worn during any season, any time of the day.

4th Nail Trend: Single accents and how to apply this trending design

The single accent is a lonely polish on a manicure that does not exist. It is sometimes seen as a “midi-ring on a bare hand”.

How to apply:

  • Draw a straight line across your accent nail. You can do this with your free-hand or you could use two pieces of tape to guide you.
  • Using a “skinny-brushed” nail polish, paint all your finger nails with a top coat.
  • Your nails would look superb by painting the blank fingernails too.

5th Trend in 2018: Outlines

Outlines are on trend this year. And they are super easy to create. They are lines created on the outline of your fingernail.

How to easily apply:

  • Paint two coats of any of your favorite nail polish on your fingertips and allow them to dry completely. Especially in between Applying coats.
  • Use a nail-art pen in a dark shade and outline your nails.
  • Allow them to dry and seal it with a top coat.

Added tip: Adding a difference to your nails

Drawing two outlines around your fingernail gives the appearance of a framed affect.

6th Nail Trend: Nail tips that are Dipped

They’re quite different to the outlined tips that trended back in 2017. Dipped tips look like you’ve dipped the edges of your fingernails in your nail polish. Which off-course you did!

Getting your dipped tips looking on point

  • If you’re after the messy look; free hand with paint by wiggling the edges of the nail polish brush over the tips of your nails.
  • Because the style obviously disappears with the first chip, apply a gel-based top coat.

The last trend to make our 2018 list is:

7th Nail trend in 2018: “Giving life” Nails

This trend is using stickers and placing them on each fingernail. Gloss it over with a clear nail polish to hold intact and apply a top coat to last longer.

You can decide which letters you’re going to use and if you want to add other elements to it. This style is easy to do and takes a short amount of time.

Additional tip: Making them look a little more special

You can use a color nail polish below the stickers, however your natural nail looks just fine too.

Regardless of what your taste is, there’s no doubt that these styles trend because they’re simply that adorable. Let’s face it, style change at the drop of a hat, but using these as a basis to create your own design (which might end up trending), is what you need to be doing. Nail art designs are more than just a few splashes of nail polish on a fingernail, its art. It’s creativity and is a skill that not many can master. These nail trends in 2018 are super easy to do yourself, but nothing beats being pampered by a professional at a nail salon.

Our favorite nail trend for this year has got to be the Dipped tips. We love it as a simple action like dipping your tips in some nail polish makes creating art unbelievably easy. We love getting feedback from you. So, please leave your comments below and tell us which of these nail trends are your favorite.
